How do I know my ring size?
We've got you covered!
1). Order a ring sizer at our "ring sizer” page; or
2). Take a ring that perfectly fits, measure the gap in-between, without the ring bands (in mm). Most of the times, this is very close to your actual ring size.
Also know we can resize (almost) all of our rings for you! This will cost you €50. Please send us an email (info@orovintagejewellery.com) with your order number (check order confirmation mail) and preferred ring size. This will take up to 14 days.
Our guarantee only applies if the resizing process has been carried out by us and therefore provides no guarantee to other goldsmiths/jewellers.
What is the difference between 9k, 14k and 18k?
Pure gold is too soft to make jewellery from, so it is always a combination of metals. The number of carats indicate the amount of gold within the piece. The difference between 9k carat (designated 375), 14 carat (designated 585) and 18 carat (designated 750) is that the higher the carats the higher the amount of gold.
What does gold plated mean?
The jewellery you will find in our Bijoux collection is gold plated 925 silver. This means that there is a thin layer of gold applied over the pieces after they have been crafted in solid silver. Gold plating is a great way to make pieces that are more affordable whilst still giving you the luxury look of solid gold. These pieces require a bit of extra care - see below.
Do you have a physical store?
No. But who knows what the future holds… at the moment online only but we offer the option to make an appointment so you can try on the pieces in our show room.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes! It is possible to pick up your order after purchase at our pick-up point. Please put in the 'comment' of your purchase that you would like to pick it up and which date and time you prefer (Monday - Friday). We will send you an email to confirm your pick-up. We will send you the pick-up address after purchase.
How do I know for sure it is real gold and/of diamonds?
All our jewellery is carefully checked by our specialist. Which means that the type of metal (gold carat), stones and the settings are always double checked and correctly assessed.
What about warranty?
After the fourteen-day period, we give a warranty of 30 days on the quality of the product. If within this period there is a problem with the product please send an e-mail to info@orovintagejewellery.com. We will provide you with a suitable solution.
Please note again that the warranty is void if the product shows a defect which is caused by improper use, if you or others have made or attempted to make changes to the product or used it in a way for which the article is not intended.
How can I take care of my jewellery?
To keep the jewellery sparkling forever, it needs to be taken care of. Always be careful with perfume, make-up and other care products. Keep your jewellery in a dark place like a jewellery box when not wearing it. After a while, it is possible that your jewellery gets dull. If you would like to let it sparkle again you can clean your jewellery. This can be done with warm water, cleaning fluid (let it soak for a few minutes) and a soft toothbrush. We recommend to remove the jewellery with gemstones during activities such as sports, gardening and while sleeping.
Gold Plated:
Eventually the gold will wear away on gold plated items, you can always get them re-plated if this happens, but if you take good care of them they can stay shiny and lustrous for many years. Prolong the life of your gold plated jewellery by storing them in an airtight container when not wearing—and remove before applying perfumes and lotions. Chlorine, especially at high temperatures, can permanently damage or discolour your gold plated jewellery. Avoid wearing gold plated pieces while in a pool or hot tub and showering/bathing.
